Ron Allard, Group Chief Operating Officer, wi-tribe Ltd. (Bahrain) 

wi-tribe's Group Chief Operating Officer, Ron Allard, undoubtedly has a passion for excellence. Bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the telecoms industry, this operations guru has world-class leadership experience in setting new benchmarks within the telecommunications industry.

He has effectively established the operational structure necessary to support wi-tribe's expansion into the emerging markets and directs the group's multi-disciplinary team including Network Operations, Engineering & Planning, Marketing, Sales and Customer Care.

Having worked with top names in North and South America, Western and Central Europe as well as Africa, Ron excels in sales, marketing, distribution management as well as business development, strategies, tactics and modeling.

This Canadian powerhouse has held positions such as CEO of MTN Cameroon where in his first year alone, he implemented programs to increase revenue by 94%. He was also the Managing Director at MTN Côte d'Ivoire where he successfully completed a full rebranding initiative and introduced a new vision which was necessary to position the Company in an increasingly competitive landscape.

During his time as the CEO of both Telecom Malagasy & Telma Mobile, he successfully launched the mobile arm of Madagascar's national carrier, attaining a higher than expected customer acquisition, from a planned 120K subs to reach 300K subs in its first year of operations.

Ron's most recent academic exercises include the INSEAD AMP in 2004 and he is currently working on an MSc as part of the Consulting and Coaching for Change program offered jointly by the prestigious universities of Oxford and HEC Paris.
